I have only been using retention + for a few months, Mel Skora is the best to ask but I will answer what I can for u :)

1. Is it good ie: Easy to work with/apply? Yes, I find it very easy to work with

2. Is there minimal lifting? Since changing to retention + I have no lifting on my clients but I have also better my application too

3.What preping steps do you perform? The normal basic procedures

Do i need to use nail fresh and primer? I don't use nail or scrub fresh, I use avolve exfoliator, but I do use CND primer

I use Retention+, love love love it! it made my job so much easier when i switched to it.
I was using IBD (what we used in college) and i had so much lifting, i was going to quit, it got me down so much.
I did use Scrubfresh but when i ran out i had to grab something in a hurry so i bought some NSI nail pure plus, did the same job so i have never changed.
I don't use primer, it's not needed with Retention+.

I will never trade in my cnd for any other brand :D

I hope this helps!

1. Is it good ie: Easy to work with/apply? CND is like any other product it takes time to adjust... but I think it goes on so smooth adn wonderful that just about everyone would be able to apply CND. To get the most out of our Rent +.... always use the correct powders.. it makes a huge difference

2. Is there minimal lifting? This is the best liquid to use if u are having lifting issues. U still need to prep well and in saying that if u cut corners it will show

3.What preping steps do you perform? I use CND cuticle remover,, leave this on for 2 mins.. and then use a cuticle tool. like a melon baller to remove the dead tissue... u will be shocked at just how much there is suck to the nail plate... then i use either scrub fresh or avolve have a product called intense dehydrator.. it is also great.... then i take the shine off the nail plate and re balance where i need to..... NO primer... this is not needed... using primer can infact cause rentention to lift is some cases.. see how u go without it first... then once u are ready to apply your product i go over the nails with scrub fresh again.., one hand at a time... this way your client has not had a chance to touch her hair or face..... then do the other hand the same way.

Do i need to use nail fresh and primer? I dont.. I use either scrub fresh or avolve inteste dehydrator

Thankyou for taking the time to read and hope you enjoy the rest of your day!!

CND is a very very good product. I have used others and in my opinion and it is only that, i would not use another product.. and i am sure most of the techs on here would use CND if it wasnt so $$$.... but the choice is yours... get a trial kit and see how u go.

You would have to agree though, it's well worth the $$

Hi

I too use CND ( Retention + / Radical / Moxie ) love it... but I also use cnd's Srub Fresh / Primer / Powders / cuticle eraser.
I have not had problems with CND.

I also use Ez Flow.. ( just thought I'd add that bit in)

CND rentention + is recommended for clients who lift.. ie hairdressers, nurses etc.It is a primer less liquid and has perfect bonding qualities. The ratio is quiet easy to perfect. If u use their brush it is almost perfect with every bead. The other liquids in the range are fast settind moxie, and radical for extra strong enhancementes.
But i think the best one of the bunch is Rentention+... it is very very smooth and it great to file . I dont even file at the end.. I just use a snow block and uv top coat.

There is plenty of info about the chemistry side of things in Doug's book.. he is the CND science guru or go onto their web page to read lots more

Bekki..
When u use primer with the rent+ u can alter how it works... think of it like double sided tape.. when u prime the tape doesnt stick like it should..I think u might be doing a step that is just not needed and costing u money u dont need to spend.
try and see what happens..
I didnt believe it either until I smashed my primer on the salon floor one day and thought "shit... well they say u dont need it". 2 years later I am still primer free with rent +
